Moderately used WH (Heeres) 'standard-pattern', silver-toned- and aluminium-based belt-buckle being a maker- (ie. 'St.Merkl - Nürnberg'-) marked- and/or: '1938'-dated example that comes mounted onto its leather-based tab

This an attractive - just moderately worn and actually not that easily encountered! - example of a WH (Heeres) 'standard-pattern', silver-toned and/or aluminium-based belt-buckle (ie. 'Koppelschloss für Unteroffiziere u. Mannschaften des Heeres') being maker- (ie. 'St.Merkl - Nürnberg'-) marked- and/or: '1938'-dated example that comes mounted onto its leather-based tab and that comes as recently found and/or stored for decades. The buckle has lost its (presumably once present) field-grey- (ie. olive-green-) coloured sprayed surface (just some traces are noticable on the inside something that is more often encountered as can be seen on the pictures). The piece shows an oval-shaped, impressed stamp onto the leather-based tab (as can be seen on the pictures). The stamp shows the (very unusually found!) producing-company named: 'St.Merkl - Nürnberg' and the year of production '1938' (as can be seen on the pictures). The buckle came mounted onto its used but still totally souple - and of course still functional - brownish-coloured and genuine leather-based 'tab' (as can be seen on the pictures). I deem that I have priced this attractive - and with certainty not that often seen! - WH (Heeres) belt-buckle, accordingly!
