Truly worn- (ie. relic) example of the - rarely encountered! - WH (Heeres) EM- (ie. NCO-) type 'Grossdeutschland'-cuff-title (ie. Ärmelstreifen) being a shortened example of the 1st pattern (as executed in so-called: 'BeVo-flat-wire-woven'-pattern)

This is a truly worn- (ie. relic) example of the - actually rarely encountered! - enlisted-mens'- (ie. NCO-) type WH (Heeres), so-called: 'BeVo-flat-wire-woven', first pattern 'Grossdeutschland'-cuff-title (ie. 'Ärmelstreifen') being a truly worn and/or minimally shortened example as was executed in silver-coloured thread (ie. braid) onto a typical darker-green-coloured- and/or also linnen-based background and that comes in an overall nice- (and with certainty worn- and/or carefully tunic-removed-), condition. These desirable 'first-pattern', 'Grossdeutschland'-cuff-titles as executed in Gothic script and were only worn for a very limited period of time somewhere in late 1940 and were than immediately replaced by the more commonly encountered examples as executed in so-called: 'Sütterlin'-script onto a black-coloured- and/or smooth woolen-based background. The neat example on offer here originates from a private-household in Germany where it was recently uncovered. As stated above is the piece a period-shortened example (measuring approximately 36 cms.) that was truly worn and/or carefully tunic-removed: it came still period 'sewn-together' as worn (as can be seen on the pictures). The cuff-title shows some obvious age, wear and/or staining and is somewhat wrinkled. I have seen similar pieces sell for much more than my asking-price (which I deem is absolutely correct for such a neat and rarely found piece!). Simply a neat occasion to acquire an early-period- and rarely observed 'GD'-related item for a justified price!
