'Eisernes Kreuz II. Klasse' being a maker- (ie. '98'-) marked example by the maker (ie. 'Hersteller'): 'Rudolf Souval'

The attractive - and actually scarcely encountered! - 'Eisernes Kreuz II. Klasse' on offer here is a neatly maker- (ie. '98'-) marked example that was with certainty produced by the (Austrian) maker (ie. 'Hersteller'): 'Rudolf Souval' as was based in the town of Vienna (Wien) and that comes as recently found. The neat piece was I deem surely issued but was (I deem) simply never worn nor used. The cross - which shows a clearly stamped makers'-designation: '98' stamped into its ring - was with certainty never cleaned and has a superb and/or very attractive age-patina: it has lost, however, most of its so-called: 'hochpolierte Kanten' (or: polished sides) and has a minimally darkened- (ie. somewhat 'blackened'- ie. stained) finish (as can be seen on the pictures). The cross has a very nicely preserved, black-finished (ie. somewhat 'satin-like'- ie. somewhat matted-) core: it is totally void of any damage nor paint-loss (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece is just a tiny bit dusty and/or stained but was never cleaned nor polished. The cross is an evident specimen that was produced by the (Austrian) maker: 'Rudolf Souval' as based in the town of Wien (ie. 'Hersteller 98'): it has nice and/or pronounced details as to be expected for a cross by this desirable maker. The IC was recently found at a German private-household and was never before in collectors'-hands. Simply a neat, clearly maker- (ie. '98'-) marked 'EK II. Klasse' that is with certainty accordingly priced!
