Interesting, (pre-) WWII-period, WH (Heeres) 'souvenir-item' (ie. tiny pocket-knife) showing on one side (the silver-inlayed) text: 'Weihnachten 1936' and on the other side: '8.(M.G.)/Komp.Inf.Regt. 61 - München'

This is a truly interesting - and with certainty very scarcely encountered! - (pre-) WWII-period, WH (Heeres) 'souvenir-item' (ie. tiny pocket-knife) showing on one side (the silver-inlayed) text: 'Weihnachten 1936' and on the other side: '8.(M.G.)/Komp.Inf.Regt. 61 - München' and that comes as stored for decades and that comes in an overall nicely preserved- (albeit clearly used-), condition. The neat - smaller-sized piece (measuring only 8 cms.) has truly pronounced detail and was (I deem) never cleaned nor polished: it is of course still functional and comes with both its 'blades' in place (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece shows some obvious usage and shows an impressed designation that simply reads: 'Rostfrei' and came as issued and/or stored for decades. These attractive, souvenir-pieces could be acquired in specialised shops and or canteens (ie. 'Kasinos') and made a great period means of creating interest in the greater war-effort. Simply an attractive - and surely very unusually encountered! - 'promotional- ie. souvenir-piece' from a Münich-based, infantry-related machine-gunners-company that is I deem with certainty accordingly priced!
