Interesting, (pre-) WWII-period 'souvenir-item' (ie. tiny pocket-knife) showing on its front an illustration of a soldier wearing a steel-helmet flanked by oakleaves coupled with the text: '1938 - 1939 - Westwall - Westfront'

This is a truly interesting - and with certainty quite scarcely encountered! - (pre-) WWII-period 'souvenir-item' (ie. tiny pocket-knife) showing on its front an illustration of a German soldier wearing a steel-helmet flanked by oakleaves and coupled with the text: '1938 - 1939 - Westwall - Westfront' and that comes as stored for decades and that comes in an overall nicely preserved- (albeit clearly used-), condition. The neat - smaller-sized piece (measuring only 9,5 cms.) has truly pronounced detail and was (I deem) never cleaned nor polished: it is of course still functional and comes with both its 'blades' in place (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece shows some obvious usage and shows an impressed makers'-designation that reads: '…Hantie - Stahl - Germany' (or alike) and came as issued and/or stored for decades. These attractive, souvenir-pieces could be acquired in specialised shops and or canteens (ie. 'Kasinos') and made a great period means of creating interest in the greater war-effort. Simply an attractive - and surely unusually encountered! - 'promotional- ie. souvenir-piece' that is I deem with certainty accordingly priced!
