Minimally worn - and I deem early- ie. pre-war-period - WH (Heeres) 'Armwinkel' (or: arm-chevron): 'Hauptgefreiter'
Category:
This is an attractive - and quite unusually found! - example of a WH (Heeres) 'Armwinkel' (or: arm-chevron) as was executed onto a darker-green-coloured- and/or woolen-based (and non-backed!) background as was specifically intended for usage by a soldier with the (unusually encountered!) rank of a: 'Hauptgefreiter' (ie. senior-private) and that comes in an overall nice- (and I deem issued- and/or once tunic-attached-), condition. The chevron is neatly executed and shows three stripes of silver-coloured, Heeres-pattern NCO-braid attached. The patch is, as stated above, not backed (as can be seen on the pictures). It sounds maybe strange but these 'simple', Heeres-related rank-insignia are quite hard to encounter. Simply an attractive WH (Heeres) rank-chevron that will be hard to be upgraded!
