This is a truly very attractive - with certainty rarely encountered and presumably issued albeit still 'virtually mint'! - example of a multi-coloured enamelled, TR-period so-called: 'Halskreuz o. Großstern 1. Klasse des Orden Azad Hind' (or: neck-cross of the first class as was issued by the provisional government 'Freies Indien' ie. “Azad Hind” 1942-1945) being a non-maker-marked example as was (as always) produced by the Austrian maker: 'Rudolf Souval' and that comes mounted onto its original ribbon (ie. 'Bandabschnitt') and that comes stored in its typical, beige-white-coloured etui as issued and/or stored for decades. The award is an attractive (ie. truly detailed- and pronounced!) piece that is totally void of any enamel damage and that retains most (ie. all!) of its its period-applied, somewhat 'frosted' and bright-silver-coloured finish: it also retains most of its: 'hochpolierte Kanten' (or polished sides) but is a tiny bit stained (it has never been cleaned nor polished). It came mounted onto its multi-coloured (full-length- ie. 32 cms. long-sized) ribbon ie. 'Bandabschnitt' (as can be noticed on the pictures). The award ie. neck-order came stored in its original, beige-white-coloured etui (that measures 12,5 x 9,5 x 2,5 cms.) and that shows a fully preserved golden-toned, 'tiger'-symbol on its front and that has a fully preserved (purple-coloured, velvet-based) 'inlay': moreover, does it show a printed makers'-designation in its lid (that reads: 'Rudolf Souval - Wien VII. - Str. d. Julikämpfer 28' as can be seen on the pictures). Simply a very attractive example that will be very hard to be upgraded: I deem that I have priced this stunning - and neatly boxed! - 'Halskreuz o. Großstern 1. Kl. des Orden Azad Hind' according to its rarity and/or desirabilty: I have seen similar pieces sell for much more than my asking-price!
