Three-pieced, (pre) 'WWI'-related medal-bar grouping (ie. 'Ordenspange-Satz') resp. depicting a WWI-period: 'EKII. Kl.', a: Sachs. 'Ehrenkreuz mit Schw.', a: 'Friedrich August Medaille in Silb.', a: 'FKK 1914-18' and an Austrian WWI-comm. medal

This is a truly attractive - and fully complete! - 'WWI'- (ie. TR-) related medal-bar-grouping (ie. 'Ordenspange-Satz') comprising of a five-pieced so-called: 'Ordenspange' (medal-bar), accompanying 'Feld- o. Bandspange' (ribbon-bar) and scarcely found so-called: 'Kettchen für den Zivilanzug' (miniature bar for the civil-attire) respectively depicting a: WWI-period: 'Eisernes Kreuz II. Klasse' (or: iron cross second class), a: Sachsen 'Ehrenkreuz mit Schwertern' (aka: 'Allgemeines Ehrenzeichen'), a Sachsen: 'Friedrich August Medaille in Silber 1905', a: 'Frontkämpferkreuz 1914-18' (ie.: 'Kriegsteilnehmerkreuz mit Schwertern') and an Austrian WWI-commemorative medal, all three items (and awards!) coming in an overall very nice- (and I deem only moderately used- and/or worn-), condition. All five awards are truly nicely preserved examples that seem to have never been cleaned nor polished: they come in an equally minimally tarnished- ie. dusty (ie. used) condition and come naturally mounted onto their period ribbons. The detail on the 'EKII. Klasse' is truly stunning and nicely preserved: it has - I deem - never been cleaned nor polished and has an attractive and/or minimally tarnished age-patina (as can be seen on the pictures). It retains nice details and has a nicely preserved, black-finished (ie. somewhat 'satin-like'- ie. 'shiny-style') core and is void of any damage nor paint-loss. Both Sachsen (ie. Saxony) related awards are very nicely preserved examples that retain their (uncleaned!) golden-toned- ie. tarnished (genuine) silver-toned age-patina. The FKK 1914-18 shows a clear makers'-designation on its back (that reads: 'R.V. 14 Pforzheim') as can be noticed on the pictures). The detail on this award is also nicely preserved but it does show some tarnished age-patina and some minimal staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The Austrian WWI-commemorative medal retains most of its silverish-grey-toned finish. All five awards - which show their nicely preserved, period ribbons - come 'period-mounted' onto a metal-based 'clasp' that is neatly backed with a piece of green-coloured wool (and that shows a functional pin- ie. catch-set-up) as was intended for wearing this example on a 'going-out'- ie. dress-tunic or 'Waffenrock'. Of additonal interest is, moreover, the fact that this 'Ordenspange' came with its accompanying, 5-pieced: 'Feld- o. Bandspange' (ribbon-bar) and scarcely found (identically assembled) so-called: 'Kettchen für den Zivilanzug' (miniature bar for the civil-attire) which are both also complete and nicely preserved. The entire set was recently found at a German private-household and was never before in collectors-hands. Simply an attractive 3-pieced, (pre) WWI-period- (ie. Sachsen-) related 'Ordenspange-Satz' that is (I deem) accordingly priced!
