This is a neat - albeit clearly ie. moderately used- and/or worn! - example of a truly early-period, multi-coloured-enamelled so-called: 'Mitgliedsabzeichen' (or: membership-lapel-pin) as was specifically intended to signify membership within the: 'HJ' (or: 'Hitlerjugend') before June 1932, being a 'regular'-sized badge of the 1st pattern that shows an (unusually seen!) makers'-designation that reads: 'O. Baudermann - Erlbach i.V.' (and also shows a: 'Ges.Gesch.'-patent-pending-designation on its back) and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit I deem clearly used and/or worn-), condition. The lapel-pin shows some regular wear and age and shows some minimal enamel-damage (ie. small chipped-area as can be noticed on the pictures). The lapel-pin - which comes mounted onto its functional pin-/catch set-up - has - I deem - never been cleaned and retains a (heavingly) tarnished age-patina. A similar pin is also figured in the Heering-Hüsken 'Abzeichen'-catalogue, wherein it is given a unique reference-number (9301A). This is a 'standard-issued' badge of the 1st pattern: something that is easily recognisable due to the fact that it depicts a 'swastika' sun-rise coupled with the text: 'H.J. - Deutsche Arbeiter Jugend'. Simply a neat and decorative (early-period!) TR- ie. HJ-related lapel-pin that is I deem priced according to its minimally damaged condition!
