This is a truly very attractive - and actually very scarcely encountered! - officers'-pattern, (I deem) 'Reichsbund Deutsche Jägerschaft' (ie. 'DJV') visor-cap eagle (ie. 'Schirmmützenadler für Offiziere des Reichsbund Deutsche Jägerschaft') being a neatly hand-embroidered- and/or truly luxuriously-styled example that is executed onto a darkergreen-coloured- and/or woolen-based background and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. once visor-cap-attached- and/or just minimally used- and/or worn-), condition. These attractive cap-eagles were worn on the various DJV-officers'-visor-caps throughout (and before!) the war. The nicely detailed eagle on offer here - which has an approximate diameter ie. 'wingspan' of only 8 cms. and that shows a thin-shaped and paper-based 'backing' as more often - shows hardly any wear and is totally void of any damage (as can be seen on the pictures). It is truly nicely constructed from bright-silver-toned 'braid' and does show some highlighted areas as executed in black-coloured (and also linnen-based) thread: as such it is most certainly a fine example of the superb embroidery-techniques as employed in the days. This particular example originated from the famous Dave Delich collection. Simply an attractive - and with certainty very unusually encountered! - 'Reichsbund Deutsche Jägerschaft'- (ie. 'DJV'-) -officers'-pattern visor-cap-eagle that is with certainty accordingly priced!
