This is an attractive - and actually quite scarcely found! - peculiar-shaped, so-called: N.S.D.A.P.-related day-badge (ie. 'tinnie' or: 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen') that was issued to commemorate the opening of the Nürnberg Airport in August 1933 and that is entitled: 'Einweihung des Nürnberger Flughafens - Aug. 1933' and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit issued ie. just moderately worn-), condition. The very detailed and/or pronounced badge - which is executed in somewhat darker-toned, greyish-silver-coloured and (I deem) zinc-based (pot)metal - truly shows extraordinary detail and was almost certainly never cleaned nor polished. The piece - that is void of a makers'-designation - shows an airplane, swastika-and-eagle-device surrounded by the text: 'Einweihung des Nürnberger Flughafens - Aug. 1933' (as can be seen on the pictures). The badge comes naturally mounted onto its (functional) longer-sized pin. Simply an attractive - early-period and locally issued! - N.S.D.A.P.-related 'tinnie' ie. 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen' that comes not that often for sale!
