This is an attractive - and typical smaller-sized- (ie. only 9 mm. sized!) miniature-lapel-pin (ie. 'Miniatur') depicting a quite detailed: an: 'Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber' (or: silver-class assault-badge ie. IAB) being a (typical) non-maker-marked example as executed in somewhat tarnished (and I deem zinc- ie. 'Feinzink'-based metal) and that comes mounted onto its original, longer-sized pin (and unusually seen!) beige-coloured, period 'LDO'-card and that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem never used- ie. still 'virtually mint- ie. unissued'-), condition. The - non-maker-marked - piece is a quite detailed example that retains a very nice and just minimally tarnished age-patina: most of its original silverish-grey-toned finish is present and/or nicely preserved: the piece has just a tiny bit tarnished over the years but is totally void of any damage or alike. Although its truly very small size it does show pronounced detail and is in fact much rarer to encounter than its regular-sized counterparts (the photos do not do justice to this piece: in hands it is much nicer and/or more detailed). Of interest is, moreover, the fact that the period 'LDO'-card shows on its front a printed numeral ('0041') and shows on its back the expected text: 'Die Herstellung von Orden ….' etc. Simply an attractive - and seldomly seen! - miniature IAB-lapel-pin that is (I deem) accordingly priced!
