This is a truly attractive - and actually quite scarcely encountered! - (typical) officers'-pattern, 'Luftschutz' (ie. RLB-) breasteagle (ie. 'Brustadler für Offiziere des Reichs-Lufschutz-Bundes') being a neatly 'BeVo'-flat-wire'-woven example that is executed onto a bluish-grey-coloured- and/or woolen-based background and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. I deem once tunic-attached- and/or just minimally used- and/or worn-), condition. These attractive breast-eagles were worn on the various blue-coloured RLB-officers'-tunics throughout the war. The nicely detailed eagle on offer here - which has an approximate diameter ie. 'wingspan' of 9,2 cms. and that is neatly (off-factory) mounted onto a piece of blue-grey-coloured wool - shows hardly any wear and is totally void of any damage (as can be seen on the pictures). It is truly nicely constructed in the 'BeVo'-flat-wire'-technique and is most certainly a fine example of the superb embroidery-techniques as employed in the days. This particular example was once glued into an album or scrapbook (it does show some minimal glue- ie. carton-remains on its back). Simply an attractive - and with certainty unusually encountered! - 'BeVo'-flat-wire'-woven 'Reichsluftschutzbund'-officers'-pattern breast-eagle that is I deem accordingly priced!
