This is a neat - and I deem just moderately used- and/or worn! - example of a WH (Heeres) (bright) silver- ie. golden-coloured and (I deem) typical aluminium-based and two-pieced, so-called: 'M43'-pattern cap-badge (ie. 'Mützenabzeichen') depicting an: 'Edelweiss'-flower that came period-mounted onto its piece of darker-green-toned wool as was used by the various 'Gebirgsjäger'- (ie. mountain-troops-) related divisional-staff throughout the war. The piece is executed in (typical) aluminium-based metal having a separately attached, golden-toned and also aluminium-based 'core' attached as is more often the case (as can be seen on the pictures). The cap-badge is a bit stained and has lost some of its finish but was never cleaned nor polished. Simply a great occasion to acquire a 100% original - and carefully cap-removed! - 'Gebirgsjäger'-related cap-badge for a competitive price!
