TR-period, commemorative sports'-plaque (ie. 'Erinnerungs- o. nichttragbare Plakette') showing an illustration of a 'swastika-sunburst' and bearing the text: 'Westfälische Schwimm-Meisterschaften - 14.15. Juli 1934 - Gütersloh'

This is an attractive - and with certainty not that often- ie. most certainly scarcely encountered! - tarnished bronze-toned (and I deem genuine bronze-based!), so-called: commemorative sports'-plaque (ie. 'Erinnerungs- o. nichttragbare Plakette') that is showing a detailed illustration of a 'swastika-sunburst', some swimming persons and bearing the text: 'Westfälische Schwimm-Meisterschaften - 14.15. Juli 1934 - Gütersloh' and that comes in an overall nicely preserved, condition. The neat - smaller-sized- and/or regular-weight-piece measures only 5 x 4 cms. and has truly pronounced detail and was I deem never cleaned nor polished: it has maintained a neat golden-bronze-toned age-patina (but also shows some minimal tarnish as can be seen pictures). The piece is totally void of a makers'-designation. These neat - semi-official - presentation-pieces were I deem used as some sort of awards as (presumably) handed-out at party-related games or alike. The piece originates from a private-household in Germany where it was recently uncovered as issued and stored for decades. Simply a very attractive - and with certainty unusually encountered! - table-medal ie. 'Erinnerungs- o. nichttragbare Plakette' that might merit some further investigative work!
