The fairly luxuriously-styled - commemorative and neatly colourful enamelled! - 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen' on offer here is a maker- (ie. 'C.P.'-) marked (and neatly 'Ges. Gesch.'-) stamped example that is showing the five, multi-coloured Olympic-rings and that comes in an overall very nicely preserved- and totally undamaged, condition. The piece is executed in silver-toned and I deem 'Buntmetall'-based, enamelled metal: it shows some normal wear and/or minimal age and is somewhat tarnished by age and/or decades of storage. The badge shows the five Olympic-rings and was as such intended for the: 'XI. Olympiade' as was held in Berlin in the year 1936. The neat piece comes naturally mounted onto its functional pin (ie. pin/catch) set-up and was never cleaned nor polished: it shows some minimal age- and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures) but is still very detailed and/or pronounced. Of additional interest is, moreover, the fact that these 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen' showing the Olympic rings saw also usage as a: 'Traditions-Mützenabzeichen' by certain U-Boot-crews during the WWII-period. Simply a very nice example of this Olympic-Games-related 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen' that is I deem most certainly accordingly priced!
