Truly used- and/or carefully shirt-removed (ie. 'cut-out' a shirt!), WH (Luftwaffe) 'tropical'-issued breasteagle as was intended for usage onto the tropical-shirts
Category:
The attractive example on offer here is neatly white- (ie. silver-white-) coloured- and is executed on a (slightly thicker-shaped) tropical-styled, light-brownish- (ie. typical tan-) coloured and/or also linnen-based, background. The piece comes - as stated above - in an overall very nice and/or clearly shirt-removed ie. 'cut-out' a shirt!) condition: it was once clearly machine-stitched onto a tunic (by means of a machine) and still shows its period stitching-remains (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece - which measures from wing-tip to wing-tip approximately 9,7 cms. - is just a tiny bit stained (ie. clearly sun-faded) and does show some minimal staining as caused by years of storage and/or moderate wear but has maintained very nice detail overall. The piece is carefully period-trimmed- ie. folded and came as a neat (and desirable!) 'cut-out' a shirt 'trophy' that was kept as a souvenir-item. These 'tropical' (ie. DAK or 'Deutsches Afrika Korps') breasteagles as intended for the tropical-shirts can easily be graded 'scarce' even more so when the come in a carefully 'cut-out' a shirt-condition. Simply a very attractive example that will be very hard to be upgraded!
