This is an attractive - and with certainty very unusually encountered! - WWII-period (and neatly enamelled!) 'company-worker'-lapel-pin as was (specifically and merely!) intended for the employee named: 'Fr. Jos Schmitt', being a: 'Stammarbeiter' serving within the company: 'SAWOE' (ie. 'Sager & Wörner Bau') and that comes in an overall very nicely preserved (and totally undamaged!), condition. The circular-shaped (honorary?) 'factory-worker'-lapel-pin shows the company-logo (a triangle with a black border) and has an approximate diameter of approximately 3 cms, and is (I deem) constructed from silver-toned 'Buntmetall' and shows a (light-blue-coloured and neatly enamelled) 'rim' (that is totally void of any enamel damage). The lapel-pin that comes mounted onto its functional pin- ie. catch-set-up - just shows some darkened tarnish but was never cleaned nor polished. It is neatly maker-marked on its back and does show the makers'-designation of: 'Lauer - Nürnberg/Berlin' impressed on its back (as can be noticed on the pictures). From 1938 onwards the construction-company: 'Sager & Wörner Bau' closely cooperated with the: 'Organisation Todt' and was involved in numerous fortification-works on the 'Atlantik-Wall', Denmark and the Channel Islands. Simply a neat - and with certainty very unusually encountered! - (honorary?) 'company-worker'-lapel-pin that would merit further investigative work!
