Superb - and minimally used! - 'EK 1. Kl.' (or: Iron Cross 1st class) as executed in the scarcely seen so-called: 'screw-back'-pattern being a typical maker- (ie. 'L/11'-) marked example as was produced by the 'Hersteller': 'Wilh. Deumer'

This is a very attractive - and I deem only minimally used- ie. worn - example of an: 'Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse' (or: Iron Cross 1st class) as was executed in the scarcely observed, so-called: 'screw-back'-pattern being a (typical) maker- (ie. 'L/11'-) marked example as was produced by the (desirable!) 'Hersteller' (ie. maker): 'Willhelm Deumer' as was based in the town of Lüdenscheid and that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem only minimally used- ie. worn-), condition. The cross - which is a typical non-vaulted ie. non-converse-shaped example - has with certainty never been cleaned and retains a minimally blackened- (ie. tarnished-) age-patina and/or great pronounced detail. This example - which is an evident specimen as was produced by the: 'Willhelm Deumer'-company - comes naturally mounted onto its functional 'screw-back'- (ie. 'an der Schraube'-) set-up. The small 'pin' (present to additionally and/or firmly attach the cross to a tunic) is naturally also present and in place (as can be seen on the pictures). This piece - which shows a nicely 'blackened' and/or fairly 'satin-like'- (ie. somewhat 'matted') inner-core - just shows some minimal wear but is totally void of any paint-loss (as can be seen on the pictures). The cross is just a bit dirty and tarnished simply caused by years of storage and/or moderate wear but retains a great unmessed-with and/or uncleaned, age-patina: it truly retains most of its polished-sides (ie. 'hochpolierte Kanten') as can be seen on the pictures. Of additional interest is, moreover, the fact that the LDO-designation 'L/11' is of the scarcely seen pattern without a box surrounding it. I deem that I have priced this very attractive - and only minimally used- and/or worn! - 'screw-back'-pattern IC first-class by 'Wilh. Deumer', accordingly!
