This is an attractive - truly used and I deem once cap-attached and nowadays actually truly scarcely encountered! - Waffen-SS black-coloured, 'M43'-pattern 'Panzer'-cap-trapezoid (ie. 'Mützentrapez') as was executed in the neat 'BeVo'-weave-pattern as was specifically intended for usage on the (later-war-period) M43-model field-caps (ie. 'Einheitsfeldmützen') and that comes in an overall very nice- (ie. clearly worn and/or carefully cap-removed-), condition. The piece on offer here shows some minimal age ie. staining simply caused by moderate wear (and does show a non-disturbing tear on the right side of the skull: it was neatly confectioned and came straight of a cap (some of the stitching-holes are still present and visible): as such it can naturally easily be used for re-attachement onto a cap (as can be seen on the pictures). The trapezoid (that presumably originated from the so-called Dachau clothing-depots) originates from an insignia-lot that was brought to the USA by an US veteran and that remained there for years in a collection: of additional interest is, moreover, the fact that this specimen shows the interwoven producers'-designation: 'BeVo-Wuppertal' (something that is most certainly not always the case). Simply a very attractive Waffen-SS 'Panzer'-cap-trapezoid that can easily be used to restore a cap or to be stored in any cloth-insignia ie. Waffen-SS collection and that is I deem accordingly priced!
