This is a neat - truly used and/or worn! - example of a WH (Heeres) aluminium-based belt-buckle (ie. 'Koppelschloss für Unteroffiziere u. Mannschaften des Heeres') being a maker- (ie. 'GB' or: 'Gustav Brehmer'-) marked example that has regrettably lost most of its field-grey-toned finish but that comes, nevertheless, in an overall nice, condition. The almost certainly pre-war-produced piece - which was produced by the maker named: 'Gustav Brehmer' (ie. 'GB') as based in the town of Marktneukirchen - was presumably issued as piece that came mounted onto its genuine leather-based 'tab': this tab was, however, period-removed for unidentified reason. The buckle shows some moderate age, wear and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures) but is totally void of any damage or alike. The buckle still retains extraordinary detail (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece orginates from an older belt-buckle-collection that was compiled over many years and that I recently acquired for the web-site. I deem that I have priced this attractive WH (Heeres) belt-buckle according to its nicely preserved- and/or fully untouched, condition!
