Zinc-based, 'Zollgrenzschutz'-related ID-disc bearing the clearly stamped unit-designation that reads: 'Zollgrenzschutz Königsberg - Pr. für Oberfinanzpräsident Ostpreussen' and that comes as issued and/or worn
Category:
This is a very attractive - with certainty very scarcely encountered and truly used and/or worn! - example of a greyish-coloured- and/or typical zinc-based, TR-period 'Zollgrenzschutz'- (ie. customs) related -related ID-disc (ie. 'Erkennungsmarke') bearing the clearly stamped unit-designation that simply reads: 'Zollgrenzschutz Königsberg - Pr. für Oberfinanzpräsident Ostpreussen' and that as such belonged to a customs-official (ie. NCO or even officer) who served within a 'Zollgrenzschutz'-related unit in the town of Köningsberg in Eastern-Prussia (which city is now called: 'Kaliningrad' in Russia). The ID-disc comes in an overall nice (albeit clearly used ie. worn-), condition (and is executed in an attractive letter-type!): it does show the clear evidence of having been used ie. worn and shows some minimal staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The disc was as such most certainly issued, worn- and/or stored for decades. It is as more often void of an impressed soldiers 'Blutgruppe' (ie. blood-group-type) and shows the stamped bearers'-numeral: '4536' (as can be noticed on the pictures). Simply a 100% garuanteed original - and truly scarcely found! - 'Zollgrenzschutz'-related ID-disc that is I deem accordingly priced!
