This is an attractive - and just moderately used- and/or worn and in this combination most certainly not that often seen! - two-pieced, 'WWI'- (and/or: Third Reich-) period-related medal-bar (ie. 'Orden- o. Doppelspange') is respectively depicting a WWI-period: 'Frontkämpferkreuz 1914-18' (ie.: 'Kriegsteilnehmerkreuz mit Schwertern') and a neatly 'Buntmetall'-based: 'Kriegsverdienstmedaille 1939' (or: war-merits-medal) both awards coming in an overall very nice- (and I deem only moderately used- and/or worn-), condition. Both awards are truly nicely preserved examples that seem to have never been cleaned nor polished: they come in an equally minimally tarnished- ie. dusty (ie. used) condition and come naturally mounted onto their period ribbons. The FKK 1914-18 shows a clear makers'-designation ie. triangle-shaped logo on its back. The detail on this award is nicely preserved but it does show some tarnished age-patina and some minimal staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The detail on the 'Kriegsverdienstmedaille 1939' is truly stunning and nicely preserved: it has - I deem - never been cleaned nor polished and has an attractive and/or minimally tarnished age-patina (as can be seen on the pictures). Both awards - which show their nicely preserved, period ribbons - come 'period-mounted' onto a chromed-metal-based 'clasp' that shows a bright-green-toned- and woolen-based backing (and that shows a functional pin- ie. catch-set-up) as was intended for wearing this example on a 'going-out'- ie. dress-tunic or 'Waffenrock'. Simply an attractive example of a two-pieced WWI-period- (ie. Third Reich-) related 'Orden- o. Doppelspange' showing an unusual combination and that is (I deem) accordingly priced!
