This is a very attractive - and just moderately used! - period WH (Heeres o. KM) light-brown-coloured- and/or genuine-leather-based protective ID-document-cover (ie. 'Hülle') as was intended for storage of a: 'Truppen-Ausweis' (or troops identity-document) and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit just moderately used-), condition. The neat piece - which is made out of high-quality, genuine leather - has a beige-coloured inner-section (showing both its undamaged 'Mica'-based divider-sections) and measures 11,8 x 8 cms. The cover shows the golden-toned and/or embossed wording ie. eagle-device that reads: 'Truppen-Ausweis' with above that an early period eagle-device (both text and/or eagle are NOT really damaged and are still in great shape overall). The piece is a tiny bit stained ie. dusty caused by decades of storage and/or fair wear. These neat little covers could be acquired by the soldiers in canteens and/or 'Wehrmachtsheime' and were a much favoured personal-accesory. Simply a very attractive and unusually seen WH (Heeres- o. Kriegsmarine) personal-equipment item that is (I deem) priced according to its overall very nicely preserved, condition!
