Superb, WH (Heeres o. Küsten-Artillerie) general-officers'-pattern breast-eagle (ie. 'Brustadler für Generale des Heeres o. Offz. der Küsten-Artillerie') as executed in bright-golden-coloured, 'hand-embroidered'-pattern
Category:
This is a truly attractive - very desirable and with certainty quite rarely encountered! - neatly hand-embroidered, WH (Heeres general-officers'- or naval 'Küsten-Artillerie'-officers-) related breast-eagle (ie. 'Brustadler für Generale des Heeres o. Offziere der Küsten-Artillerie') as executed in bright-golden-coloured braid-pattern and that comes in an overall nice- (ie. I deem) clearly- ie. moderately used- and/or carefully tunic-removed-), condition. This - with certainty 'high-quality'-produced example - is executed in bright, golden- (ie. multi!-) coloured 'braid' and is executed onto a darker-green-coloured (and typical woolen-based) background. The eagle - that shows some obvious age- and/or wear and truly minimal moth-damage - has an approximate 'wingspan' of 10 cms. and is not (additionally) 'backed' (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece was most certainly once tunic-attached and does show some stitching-remains ie. holes. Simply an attractive - and most certainly not that easily encountered! - Heeres- o. Küsten-Marine'-related, (general)officers'-type breast-eagle that would nicely fit to restore any (general or naval) officers'-type tunic. I deem that this desirable and rarely encountered specimen is accordingly priced!
