Attractive, WH (LW) 'Frontflugspange für Kampfflieger in Gold mit Stern-Anhänger' being a typical zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) and maker-marked example bythe: 'Metall u. Kunstoff - Gablonz'-company
Category:
This is a very attractive quite pronounced, typical zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based and neatly maker- (ie. 'Metall u. Kunstoff - Gablonz'-) marked example of a WH (Luftwaffe) so-called: 'Frontflugspange für Kampfflieger in Gold mit Stern-Anhänger' (or: golden-class bomber-pilots'-clasp with star-hanger ie. FFS) as was produced by the: 'Metall u. Kunstoff'-company and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately used- and/or worn-), condition. The neat piece has extraordinary detail and retains most (ie. all!) of its period-applied- and somewhat frosted, golden-toned finish: the (blackened) silver-coloured- (and typical 'Buntmetall'-based!) bomb-device (which is additionally attached to the clasp) is equally detailed and also retains almost all of its silver-toned and/or minimal 'tarnished' finish. The (period- and firmly!) attached: 'Stern-Anhänger' is also executed in zinc and shows a somewhat tarnished (ie. 'migriertes'-) age-patina. The piece shows, however, great character and/or fine, pronounced detail. The clasp comes naturally in great shape ie. order: the (golden-coloured) pin (which is of the flute-shaped-, so-called: 'gekehltes'-) pattern, golden-toned catch and/or single rivet are in fine (and totally undamaged nor repaired-) order. The piece comes in a great undamaged order and is of course fully functional. The clasp has never been cleaned nor polished and has a neat and/or slightly tarnished 'age-patina'. It originated from a private-household in Germany and was never before part of any collection. Simply an attractive - and truly not that often encountered! - golden-class Luftwaffe-award ie. 'FFS für Kampfflieger in Gold mit Stern-Anhänger' that is - I deem - with certainty accordingly priced!
