Category:
This is a truly very attractive - very desirable, fully matching and nowadays very scarcely found! - pair of Waffen-SS, enlisted-mens'-type shoulderstraps (ie. 'Schulterstücke für Mannschaften der Waffen-SS') as piped in the white-coloured branchcolour as was specifically intended for usage by an: 'SS-Schütze u. Unterführer-Anwärter' (ie. private and NCO-candidate) who served within the: 'Waffen-SS Infanterie-Truppen' and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit clearly ie. moderately used- and/or worn-), condition. The shoulderstraps are constructed from the typical, (smooth-type) black-coloured-wool and show the black-coloured 'upperdecks': the straps are in all facets a typical 'standard-issued- and (I deem) mid- (ie. later-) war-pattern-type pair. The shoulderstraps - which measure approximately 11 cms. sized in length each as more often encountered - show the neat white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour and/or desirable 'silk-like'-type branchcolour ie. piping attached (as can be seen on the pictures). The straps - which are also 'backed' with field-grey-coloured wool as more often - come of course mounted onto their (typical!) somewhat thinner-sized tongues, attached (something that is more often seen with genuine Waffen-SS shoulderstraps). Each strap shows a single 'stripe' of the typical, silver-toned NCO-braid attached (by means of machine-stitching) denoting the soldiers' NCO-candidate- ie. 'Unterführer-Anwärter') status. The straps are totally void of any damage but do show some obvious wear, age and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). It should be noted that almost every collector is looking for these white-piped, Waffen-SS EM-type-shoulderstraps but these are very hard to find and that come nowadays hardly ever for sale. It should be noted that these original, period Waffen-SS EM-type-shoulderstraps can easily be graded 'very scarce': even more so, when they are piped in the rarely encountered, white-coloured- (ie. 'SS-Infanterie-Truppen'-related-) branchcolour!
