Attractive - and early-period! - metal-based eagle-device as was specifically intended for usage onto the various N.S.K.K.-related 'Motorrad Sturzhelmen' (ie. motorcycle helmets)

This is a neat - early-period and most certainly quite rarely encountered! - large-sized, metal-based eagle-device (having an approximate 'wing-span' of approximately 13,5 cms.) as was specifically intended for usage onto the various TR-period- ie. specific N.S.K.K.- (ie. 'Nationalsozialistisches Kraftfahrkorps'-) related and/or leather-based: 'Motorrad Sturzhelmen' (ie. motorcycle helmets) and that comes in a clearly used- albeit still functional, condition. The neat piece has lost (most of) it silver-toned finish and does show some moderate, age, wear and/or staining: it was most certainly once helmet-attached (as can be noticed on the pictures). The eagle still retains all its period (albeit once bent) prongs and can as such be easily (re)mounted onto a helmet if wished so. The fragile (!) piece shows a small tear on its left wing but is, nevertheless, still firmly attached to the body of the eagle (as can be noticed on the pictures). This example originates from an older collection of interesting, pre-1933 insignia and badges that I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply a very attractive metal-based eagle-device ie. spare-part as was specifically intended for usage onto the various N.S.K.K.-related 'Motorrad Sturzhelmen' (ie. motorcycle helmets and that comes not that often for sale!
