'Reichsarbeitsdienst der weiblichen Jugend' (or: RADwJ ie.: Womens Labour Service) so-called: 'Brosche für Maidenführerin' (being a maker- ie. 'U'-marked- and/or '40'-dated example)
Category:
The attractive - just minimally worn and actually not that easily found! - 'RADwJ-Brosche für Maidenführerin' (or: RADwJ-membership-brooch for senior officials ie. leaders) has an approximate diameter of 4,5 cms. and still retains pronounced detail: it comes mounted onto its (fully functional and/or unaltered) pin- ie. catch-set-up (as can be seen on the pictures). The brooch (aka: 'Dienstbrosche') - which is a regular-weight version as was executed in minimally tarnished, (reddish) bronze-toned metal (ie. I deem steel) - is as stated above a (typical) maker- (ie. 'U'-) marked- and '40'-dated example that was (I deem) just moderately worn: it was presumably never cleaned nor polished and retains a minimally tarnished age-patina, showing just minimal age and/or staining. A similar 'brooch' is also figured in the Heering-Hüsken-'Abzeichen'-catalogue, wherein it is given a unique reference-number (3806F) and given an estimated value of 180 Eu. I deem that this attractive - and actualy scarcely found! - RADwJ-leaders'-brooch is accordingly priced!
