Superb, DRK (ie. 'Deutsches Rotes Kreuz') nurses'-badge entitled: 'Schülerin', being a medium-sized version showing an engraved bearers'-number: ('65'), town: ('Bremen') and/or makers'-designation
Category:
This is a very attractive - and actually truly scarcely encountered! - neatly enamelled, DRK (ie. 'Deutsches Rotes Kreuz' or: German Red Cross) so-called: nurses'-badge entitled: 'Schülerin' (ie. student or trainee) being a medium-sized version showing an engraved (low!) bearers'-number: (that reads: '65'), towns'- (ie. hospital-name): ('Bremen') and/or makers'-designation: 'A. Stübbe - Berlin' and that comes in a wonderful and totally untouched, condition. The piece was (I deem) clearly worn but is totally void of any enamel-damage: it just shows some regular wear and does show some minor scratches (as can be seen on the pictures). The lapel-pin is nicely maker-marked: 'Ges.Gesch. - A. Stübbe - Berlin' and also is engraved with a (unique and quite low) bearers'-number that reads: '65'. The badge most certainly belonged to a nurse that worked in a hospital or clinic based in Bremen (something that is obvious due to the encountered engraving). The badge comes naturally mounted on its functional pin and/or catch (set-up). A similar badge is also figured in the 'Heering-Hüsken' lapel-pin-catalogue, were it is given the unique reference-number: 5613XG. The badge on offer here was never cleaned and shows an attractive (silverish-coloured) patina (on its front and/or back. This is the desirable medium-sized version (having an approximate diameter of 3,2 cms.). Simply a very attractive and honest example of this desirable DRK 'Schülerin'-lapel-pin that most certainly comes not that often offered for sale!
