This is an attractive - and actually rarely encountered! - neatly enamelled- and totally untouched! - so-called: DRK (ie. 'Deutsches Rotes Kreuz' or: German Red Cross) nurses'-badge entitled: 'Hilfsschwester' being a desirable oval-shaped-version showing an engraved (very low!) bearers'-number (that reads: '2') and/or: towns'- (ie. hospital-name) that reads: 'Bremen - Willehad-H.' and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit moderately worn- and/or used-), condition. The piece was (I deem) only moderately worn and is totally void of any enamel-damage and just shows some regular wear and does show some minor scratches ie. wear-marks but was never denazified or alike (as can be seen on the pictures). The lapel-pin shows a clear makers'-designation (that reads: 'A.Stubbe - Berlin') and is engraved with a (unique, quite low) bearers'-number that reads: '2'. The badge most certainly belonged to a nurse that worked in a hospital or clinic based in the town of Bremen (something that is obvious due to the encountered stamp- ie. engraving). The badge comes mounted onto its functional pin and/or pin-/catch (set-up) as can be noticed on the pictures. A similar badge is also figured in the 'Heering-Hüsken' lapel-pin-catalogue, were it is given the unique reference-number: 5613XG. The badge on offer here was never cleaned and shows an attractive (golden- ie. tarnished, golden-coloured-) patina on its back. This is the desirable oval-shaped version (having an approximate width of 4,7 cms.). Simply an attractive and honest example of this desirable DRK 'Schwesternschaft o. Hilfsschwester'-lapel-pin that is with certainty not that often offered for sale: I deem that I have priced it according to its nicely preserved and/or fully untouched, condition!
