WWI-period (ie. 'Hessen-Darmstadt'-related) nickle-crome-based belt-buckle being a (typical) non-maker-marked example
Category:
This is a truly attractive - quite scarcely found and and I deem just moderately used- ie. worn! - example of a WWI-period, bright-silver-coloured- and/or typical nickle-chrome-based 'Hessen-Darmstadt'-related belt-buckle (ie. 'Koppelschloss für Unteroffiziere u. Mannschaften') that shows the typical (stamped) illustration of a large-sized crown and that comes in an overall very nicely preserved, condition. The neat buckle - that in my opinion is of a quite early production and that can be dated around 1914 - truly retains all of its somewhat 'shiny'-styled, silver-coloured finish without showing any defaults: it was never cleaned and is just a tiny bit dirty ie. stained (as can be seen on the pictures). The inside of the buckle only shows some dust caused by over more than 100 years of storage only. The buckle itself is unmarked (something that is more often observed). The piece was recently found at a private-household in Germany and was never before part of a collection. Simply a very attractive - and with certainty very scarcely found! - WWI-period-example of the Kingdom 'Hessen-Darmstadt' that is priced according to its overall nicely preserved, condition!
