This is a very fine example of the - actually very scarcely encountered! - silverish-grey-toned- and/or typical zinc- (ie. Feinzink-) based-metal, Dutch NSB-party- (ie. 'WA'- or: 'Weerafdelingen'-) related lapel-pin (ie. 'Veranstaltungsabzeichen' ie. tinnie) depicting the text: 'WA-Marsch - Zuid-Holland - Utrecht' and shows on its back a stamped year-designation (1942) and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit just moderately used- and/or worn-), condition. The pin on offer here - which comes in a circular-shaped format whereupon the illustrations of the two provincial shields are shown and that is showing the text: 'WA-Marsch - Zuid-Holland - Utrecht' - comes mounted onto its period pin- ie. catch and has a nicely preserved age-patina and is totally void of any damage or alike: it was never cleaned and was moderately worn and after that stored as such for decades. This movement - ie. the WA aka 'Weerafdelingen'- could be compared with the German SA-stormtroopers and was (re-)founded in 1941 after having been disbanded for various years. This piece originates from an advanced collection of NSB- ie. Dutch collaboration-related items that I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply a neat example of this NSB- (ie. WA- or: 'Weerafdelingen'-) related lapel-pin that is with certainty accordingly priced!
