Medal-set: 'Winterschlacht im Osten 1941/42' as produced by the: 'B.H. Mayer'-company

€ 60,00
This is an attractive specimen of a: 'Winterschlacht im Osten 1941/42'-medal (ie. 'Ost'-medal) as was produced by the: 'B.H. Mayer'-company and being a non-marked specimen that came stored in its original 'Zellstoff'-based pouch of issue as found and stored for decades. The cross came together with its original, minimally confectioned and folded (approx. 19 cms. long) ribbon and was still packed in its neat ('Zellstoff'-based) and reddish-brown-coloured, carton pouch when found. The medal is - as stated above - a neat silverish-grey-toned- and typical zinc- (ie. 'Feinzink'-) based specimen that was issued but simply hardly used. The medal has a nicely preserved age-patina and was most certainly never cleaned nor polished and therefore are details and/or finish still very nice and/or crisp. The pouch comes in an equally nicely preserved condition: it is fully functional and complete (and shows the printed makers'-mark of the 'B.H. Mayer'-company as was based in the town of Pforzheim on its back as can be noticed on the pictures). Simply a very attractive - and 'matching' and untouched! - 'Winterschlacht im Osten 1941/42'-set that will be hard to be upgraded!
