This is a neat - just moderately used but nevertheless still nicely preserved! - example of a WH (Kriegsmarine) so-called: 'Kriegsabzeichen für Minensuch-, U-Boot-Jagd und Sicherungs-Verbände' (or: mine-sweeper war-badge) being a detailed albeit non-maker-marked specimen as was executed in multi-coloured zinc-based metal (ie. 'Feinzink') and that comes in an overall nice- (albeit clearly- ie. moderately worn- ie. used-), condition. The badge, which has pronounced detail, comes naturally mounted onto its functional (and/or vertically-mounted- and typical 'flute-shaped' pin-, catch and/or typically-shaped pin-attachment (as is more often the case). The piece was presumably never cleaned ie. polished and truly retains most of its golden- and/or silver-coloured finish. The badge shows a typical, pin- (ie. catch-) attachment and can (in my opinion) be attributed to one of the in Gablonz situated makers such as for example: 'Rudolf Karneth'. The piece is just a bit stained ie. tarnished but was most certainly never cleaned nor polished: it came as recently uncovered at a German private-household (as can be noticed on the pictures). Simply an attractive, 'variant-pattern' KM-related war-badge by (I deem) the: 'Rudolf Karneth'-company that comes in a moderately used and/or worn condition and that is (I deem) accordingly priced!
