This is an attractive - carefully cap-removed, truly detailed and actually not that easily encountered! - hand-embroidered WH (Heeres) officers'-pattern, visor-cap eagle (ie. 'Adler für Schirmmütze') that comes mounted onto an (unusually seen!) field-grey-coloured- and/or (smooth) woolen-based background and that comes in an overall nice- (I deem moderately worn- and/or once visor-cap-attached-), condition. This - with certainty 'high-quality'-produced example - is executed in multi-coloured, silverish 'braid' and is executed onto a field-grey-coloured background. The eagle - that shows some obvious age- and/or wear - has an approximate 'wingspan' of 6,7 cms. and is not (additionally) 'backed' (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece was most certainly once cap-attached and does show some stitching- ie. thread-remains ie. holes. Simply an attractive - and most certainly not that easily encountered! - Heeres-related officers'-type visor-cap-eagle that would nicely fit to restore any Heeres officers'-type visor-cap- ie. 'Schirmmütze'!
