This is a truly attractive - and actually scarcely encountered! - WWI-era, Turkish military bravoury-award being an: 'Eiserner Halbmond' (also known as: 'Stern von Gallipoli' or: 'Türkischer Halbmond') being a luxurious, single-pieced - albeit typically unmarked - example which is executed in (tarnished) silvered metal (ie. 'Buntmetall') and that comes in an overall very nice- (and fully undamaged and untouched!), condition. The neat piece - that was also bestowed on German nationals ie. military staff (mainly officers!) and can as such also be encountered being worn throughout the TR-era - is of a fairly luxurious version: it is a neat 'single-pieced' example that shows fine detail. The piece was recently uncovered at a German private-household and was most certainly a piece that was awarded to a German soldier. The piece - which can easily be graded like an Iron Cross 1st class (or: 'Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse') - comes mounted onto its original pin and retains a fully functional (and unaltered!) catch (-set-up). The piece retains all of its bright-red enamelled surface without showing any defaults nor damages as can be noticed on the pictures). It comes naturally mounted on its functional pin- ie. pin-/catch set-up. It was - I deem - just moderately worn but still retains a minimally tarnished age-patina and was I deem never cleaned nor polished. It should be noted that this is a fairly scarcely encountered award that was (presumably) produced in the thirthies. Of course, did I price this neat - and/or luxuriously produced! - example according to its very nice and/or fully untouched condition!
