Single, Waffen-SS NCO-type shoulderstrap: 'SS-Hauptscharführer' who served within the: 'SS-Infanterie-Trpn.'
Category:
This is a very attractive - and I deem just moderately worn, albeit regrettably single! - (I deem) fairly early- (ie. mid-) war-period, Waffen-SS, NCO-type shoulderstrap that shows the neat white- (ie. 'weisser'-) coloured branchcolour and/or typical 'silk-like'-type piping attached and was as such worn by an SS-member (ie. senior-NCO) holding the rank of an: 'SS-Hauptscharführer der Infanterie-Truppen' (or: sergeant first-class who served within the SS-infantry-troops). The strap - that shows the 'standard-issue'-pattern, bluish-grey-toned (ie. sub-dued) NCO-braid attached - is in all facets a fully 'text-book' and (I deem) early- (ie. mid-) war-period SS-strap and does show the moderate signs of having been used and/or worn as such. The shoulderstrap - that measures approx. 11 cms. sized in length as more often encountered - shows some moderate age and or staining simply caused by moderate wear and/or usage. The strap shows a (typical) smaller-shaped (SS-type) tongue attached (as observed on genuine, early-war-period Waffen-SS-pattern straps!) and does show a field-grey-coloured and/or woolen-based 'underlay': moreover, does it show a matching pair of (regular-sized and/or aluminium-based) pips period-attached (as can be noticed on the pictures). It should be noted that these original, Waffen-SS, NCO-type shoulderstraps can nowadays easily be graded 'scarce': even more so when they are piped in the not that commonly encountered, white-coloured- (ie. 'SS-Infanterie-Truppen'-related-) branchcolour. I deem that this attractive and textbook Waffen-SS, NCO-type shoulderstrap is with certainty accordingly priced!
