Superb, 'Eisernes Kreuz 1. Kl.' (or: Iron Cross 1st class) being a (typical) maker- (ie. 'L/18'-) marked example as was produced by the maker (ie. 'Hersteller'): 'B.H. Mayer's Kunstprägeanstalt' and that comes in its period (simplified) 'LDO-etui

This is a very attractive - and I deem just moderately worn- and/or used - example of an: 'Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse' (or: Iron Cross 1st class) being a very detailed and clearly maker- (ie. 'L/18'- and: 'o'-) marked example (visible on the back of the cross) as was produced by the desirable maker (ie. 'Hersteller') named: 'B.H. Mayer's Kunstprägeanstalt' as was based in the town of Pforzheim and that came stored in its original, simulated leather-based- (and somewhat simplified) 'LDO'-marked etui as issued and/or recently found and that comes in an overall very nice- (surely issued albeit hardly used- ie. worn-), condition. The magnetic cross has an overall very nice age-patina and retains truly great detail: the black-coloured core shows no rust nor real damage whatsoever: the satin-like (ie. minimally matted), black-coloured painted core is nicely preserved and is almost void of any paint-loss and is just a bit dirty (as can be seen on the pictures). The cross is a typical non-vaulted (ie. non-converse-shaped) example that retains most of its 'off-factory applied' polished sides (ie. 'hochpolierte Kanten'). The back of the cross is just a tiny bit stained (but was never cleaned nor polished). The (flute-shaped) pin and catch (ie. set-up) are naturally unaltered and/or fully functional. The somewhat 'simplified' etui is void of a makers'-designation and comes also in a very fine and fully complete condition: the black-coloured- and/or velvet-like interior is naturally present and in place (as can be seen on the pictures). The cross (ie. fully matching set!) is an evident specimen that was produced by the desirable maker (ie. 'Hersteller'): 'B.H. Mayer's Kunstprägeanstalt' as was based in the town of Pforzheim: it has very nice and/or pronounced detail as to be expected for a cross by this particular maker. Simply a very attractive - and fully matching! - IC1-set by the 'B.H. Mayer'-company and that was never before part of a collection: I deem that I have priced this attractive and fully untouched example, accordingly!
