This is an attractive - and I deem hardly used nor worn - example of an: 'Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen' (or: General Assault Badge ie. GAB) being an unmarked (I deem) so-called: 'Buntmetall'-based, so-called: 'flat-back'-pattern by a still unidentified maker and that comes in an overall very nice- (and I deem hardly used- nor worn-), condition. The badge is typical, non-magnetic example that truly retains most of its typical silverish-coloured finish: it was I deem never cleaned and retains a very nice 'age-patina'. This particular example comes naturally mounted onto its functional (thin-shaped- and/or silver-coloured) pin which is mounted on a typical 'mounting' and that shows a 'welded-on' catch as is more often seen. The piece is still very detailed and has a very pronounced appearance: the award has hardly been used and does show some minimal wear on the obvious higher areas: it is moreover a tiny dirty ie. stained (see pictures) but was most certainly never cleaned nor polished. It originated from a private-household in Germany and was never before in collector-hands. Simply a very attractive and honest GAB by a to date unidentified maker that is with certainty accordingly priced!
