This is an attractive - and I deem just minimally used- and/or worn! - example of an: 'Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse' (ie. Iron Cross 1st class) being a clearly maker- (ie. '26'-) marked) example that was produced by the company: 'B.H. Mayer's Kunstprägeanstalt' as was based in the town of Pforzheim and that comes as issued and/or recently found. The cross - which is a (typical) non-vaulted ie. non-converse-shaped example as more often - has most certainly never been cleaned and retains a superb age-patina and/or great pronounced detail. This example - which has all the specifications of a by the 'B.H. Mayer's Kunstprägeanstalt'-produced example - comes naturally mounted onto its functional (and unaltered) pin- ie. pin/catch-set-up. The back of the cross is just minimally stained ie. tarnished (but was never cleaned nor polished though). The (flute-shaped) pin and/or typical catch (ie. set-up) are naturally totally unaltered and/or fully functional. The cross was never part of a collection and was recently found at a private-household in Germany. I deem that this attactive - and fully untouched! - IC first-class by the 'B.H. Mayer'-company is accordingly priced!
