This is a truly attractive - and with certainty rarely encountered! - WH (Luftwaffe) armband (or: 'Dienst-Armbinde') as was (presumably) intended for (not yet- ie. non-graduated) staff-members serving within one of the airforce-related officers'-cadet-schools and that comes in overall very nice- (ie. just minimally used- and/or worn-) condition. The neat armband - which measures 39 x 10,3 cms. - shows the typical Luftwaffe eagle-device as directly woven in black-coloured(!) linnen onto a white- (ie. somewhat beige-coloured and linnen-based) background. The eagle is neatly executed in machine-woven pattern and is only the first such rare example I have ever encountered. The piece - which has clearly been used and worn and shows some obvious wear, age and/or staining - has furthermore the (typical-) light-blue coloured borders (but is not 'enclosed' within a frame of similarly-styled braid. (Note: It might therefore have been intended for usage by cadets ie. junior-officers who did not yet completed their training). This example originates from a larger-sized cloth-insignia-collection that was compiled over the years and that I recently acquired for the web-site. Simply a very attractive - and with certainty rarely seen! - Luftwaffe-related 'Armbinde' which is I deem priced according to its desirability and/or unmistaken rarity!
