Superb - albeit regrettably parly incomplete but nevertheless rarely encountered! - 'Waffen-SS' visor-cap skull (ie. 'Totenkopf für Schirmmütze') being a detailed- and/or maker- (ie. 'RzM M1/24'-) marked example

This is an attractive - albeit regrettably parly incomplete but nevertheless still fairly rarely encountered! - 'Waffen-SS' visor-cap skull (ie. 'Totenkopf für Schirmmütze') being a detailed- and/or clearly (ie. double!) maker- (ie. 'RzM M1/24-) marked example as was executed in silver-coloured zinc-based metal (ie. 'Feinzink') and that comes in an overall very nice- (albeit regrettably incomplete and/or clearly used- and/or worn-), condition. This example is neatly (double!) marked with the ('RzM') makers'-designation: 'RzM M1/24' on its back (and on the remaining pin!) and is thus a piece that was produced by the company: 'Ovehoff & Cie.' as was based in the town of Lüdenscheid and is naturally a piece of unquestionable originality. The still detailed - and very pronounced! - cap-skull was most certainly worn and/or cap-attached - it is, however, clearly used but nevertheless still shows excellent detail: it retains (almost all!) of its silver-toned finish (which is not that often the case!) and just shows some minimal age- and/or staining (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece regrettably misses one of its (copper-based) pins in place (the other one was 'broken-off' over the years as more often). Nevertheless, still a very attractive and desirable - and with certainty nowadays rarely encountered! - piece of genuine SS visor-cap-insignia that is I deem most certainly accordingly priced!
