Category:
This is an attractive - and nowadays actually truly scarcely encountered! - somewhat crudely executed Waffen-SS black-coloured, M43-pattern 'Panzer'-cap-trapezoid (ie. 'Mützentrapez' aka “pirate-trap”) as was executed in machine-embroidered pattern as was specifically intended for usage on the (later-war-period) M43-model field-caps (ie. 'Einheitsfeldmützen') and that comes in a minimally used- and/or worn-, condition. The piece on offer here just shows some truly minimal age ie. staining simply caused by having been minimally used ie. having been stored as such for decades: it was once glued into an album and still shows some glue- ie. carton-remains on its back (as can be seen on the pictures). The trapezoid (that presumably originated from the so-called Dachau clothing-depots) originates from an insignia-lot that was brought to the USA by an US veteran and that remained there for years in a collection. Simply an attractive, Waffen-SS 'Panzer'-cap- ie. “pirate-type”-cap-trapezoid that can easily be used to restore a cap or to be stored in any cloth-insignia ie. Waffen-SS collection and that is I deem accordingly priced!
