WWI-period, Iron Cross 1st class (or: 'Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse') being a nicely preserved- (albeit typical non-maker-marked!) example that came stored in its period-etui as found

The attractive cross - which is a typical minimally vaulted ie. somewhat converse-shaped example as is more often encountered - has - I deem - never been cleaned and retains a very nice- (and just minimally tarnished) age-patina and/or great pronounced detail. This example - which is a magnetic example as more often seen - comes mounted onto its original (and naturally fully functional) 'flute-shaped' pin- and/or (typical) pin-catch set-up (as can be seen on the pictures). The cross - which shows a nicely preserved, 'blackened'- and/or fairly 'satin-like'- ie. somewhat 'shiny'-like 'inner-core' - shows some minimal wear- and/or age but is truly void of any damage: it retains a very nice appearance. It is just a bit dirty and tarnished simply caused by years of storage and/or moderate wear but retains a great unmessed-with and/or uncleaned, age-patina (and still retains some of its 'hochpolierte Kanten'). The IC - that was produced by a (by me) unidentified maker - came stored in its period, black-toned and somewhat luxuriously-styled, etui. This etui - that is totally void of a makers'-designation measures 6,8 x 6,8 x 2 cms. and shows a beige-coloured (and partly velvet-based) inlay that shows a clear imprint of the cross it held for decades: moreover, does it show a (somewhat faded, silver-toned) iron-cross-decal on its top (as can be noticed on the pictures). Simply an attractive WWI-period, IC-first-class that was recently uncovered at a private-household and that was never before in a collection: I deem that I have priced this attractive WWI-period example, accordingly!
