This is a truly very unusual - and/or neatly 'BeVo'-woven! - Third Reich-period sportshirt-patch (ie. 'Abzeichen für das Sporthemd') as was specifically intended for usage by employees working for the company named: 'Preussag AG' and that comes in an overall nice- (ie. clearly issued and just moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. The attractive patch depicts a 'Bergbau'-type eagle-device with below that the text: 'Preussag' and below that two crossed hammers. The neat shield-shaped patch - which is void of an interwoven makers'-designation - is woven in black-toned linnen onto a white-coloured background and measures: 10,7 x 8,5 cms. and was as stated above used and/or carefully shirt-removed (as can be seen on the pictures). The company 'Preussag AG' was established in October 1923 and was formed from various companies (such as the: 'Preußischen Bergwerks- und Hütten-Aktiengesellschaft ' (ie. 'PBHAG'). Simply an attractive piece of TR-period, sports'-related cloth-insignia that would most certainly merit further attention and/or investigative work!
