(Typical) non-maker-marked 'Eisernes Kreuz II. Klasse' by the company: 'C.E. Juncker'
Category:
The attractive - and most certainly desirable! - 'Eisernes Kreuz II. Kl.'-set on offer here - which was surely issued but that was I deem never worn nor even mounted - came together with its folded and non-confectioned (and approx. 29 cms. long-sized) ribbon (ie. 'Bandabschnitt') as found. The cross - which is void of a makers'-designation as to be expected - was with certainty never cleaned and has an attractive age-patina: it has, however, lost its so-called: 'hochpolierte Kanten' (or: polished sides) and has a minimally darkened- (ie. somewhat yellowish stained) finish (as can be seen on the pictures). The cross has a nicely preserved, black-finished (ie. somewhat 'satin-like'- ie. matted-) core: it is totally void of any real damage nor paint-loss (as can be seen on the pictures). The piece is just a tiny bit dusty and/or stained but was never cleaned nor polished. The cross is an evident (and magnetic!) specimen that shows a detailed and truly frosted-silvered 'inner-cross' (ie. 'Zarge') that was produced by the desirable maker, named: 'C.E. Juncker' as was based in the town of Berlin (ie. 'Hersteller 2' or: 'L/12'). The cross has very nice and/or pronounced detail as to be expected for a cross by this desirable maker. This neat IC was recently found at a German private-household and was never before in collectors'-hands. Simply an attractive 'EK II. Klasse' by a desirable maker that is most certainly accordingly priced!
