'Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse' being a non-maker-marked example by: 'Otto Schickle'

The attractive - clearly worn and with certainy fully untouched! - 'Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse' (or: Iron Cross first class) - is a typical non-vaulted- (ie. non-converse-) shaped and I deem somewhat early-period (and magnetic) example. It retains very nice and pronounced details as to be expected. This example - which is as more often non-maker-marked - comes naturally firmly mounted onto its original- (and naturally unaltered and/or fully functional) flute-shaped pin and/or typical catch (ie. catch-set-up). The cross - which is a magnetic example - shows a neatly 'blackened'- and/or fairly 'satin-like'- (ie. somewhat 'matted') inner-core that shows some moderate wear and obvious paint-loss but nothing that shocking (as can be seen on the pictures). The cross is (in my opinion) an evident specimen that was produced by the maker: 'Otto Schickle' as was based in the town of Pforzheim: it has nice and/or pronounced detail as to be expected for a cross by this particular maker. The piece is, however, still a bit stained and/or dirty (it only retains some of its polished sides ie. 'hochpolierte Kanten'). I deem that I have priced this attractive - and most certainly early-war-period! - 'Eisernes Kreuz 1. Klasse' by the 'Hersteller' (ie. maker) 'Otto Schickle', accordingly!
