This is an attractive - and actually not that easily found! - example of an: 'Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Bronze' (or: bronze-class infantry-assault badge ie. IAB) being a minimally converse-shaped, s0-called: 'oval-crimp'-pattern and/or typical non-maker-marked example as was executed in (bronze-toned) zinc-based metal (ie. 'Feinzink') and that was produced by the desirable: 'Wilhelm Deumer'-company and that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem issued- and just moderately used- ie. worn-), condition. This example has a (typical) block-hinge-type pin-set-up and typical catch (as only seen on IABs as produced by the 'Wilhelm Deumer'-company) and seems to be totally uncleaned and has still an attractive and/or somewhat 'tarnished' age-patina (as is more often the case). The pin and/or catch (ie. set-up-) are of course fully functional and/or present. The piece - which originates from a private-household where it was recently found - shows some moderate wear and/or staining but was with certainty never cleaned. It should be noted that IABs as produced by the 'Wilhelm Deumer'-company are quite difficult to encounter and are not often offered for sale. Simply a nice occasion to acquire a scarcely encountered 'oval-crimp-pattern IAB-variant' that was produced by the: 'Wilhelm Deumer'-company as based in the town of Lüdenscheid and that is priced according to its comparative scarcity and/or desirability!
