This is an attractive - I deem simply never used nor tunic-attached and with certainty not that easily encountered! - Waffen-SS, enlisted-mens'-pattern rank collar-rank-tab ('Rangkragenspiegel für Mannschaften der Waffen-SS') being a 'standard-issued'-pattern example as executed in (smooth-type) black-coloured wool as was intended for usage by a simple private holding the rank of: 'SS-Mann' (ie. soldier) and that comes in an overall very nice- (I deem simply never worn- ie. still 'virtually mint ie. unissued'-), condition. The (moleskin-based) tab shows the typical brownish-yellow-coloured 'buckram'-based 'backing' as to be expected and shows the (sometimes present) white-coloured stitching on its back (as can be seen on the pictures). This particular piece originated from the US where it was recently found as such: it was brought-back as a war-souvenir as more often. Simply an attractive and naturally 100% original Waffen-SS rank-tab that almost certainly originated from the 'Dachau' clothing-depots and that will be impossible to be upgraded!
